Tercon Ltd is pleased to annouce that it has renewed its Achilles UVDB registration for a further 12 months.
Achilles UVDB is a registration specifically for contractors working in the utilities sector and is a requirement for Tercon Ltd to work for some of the company's existing clients.
The company's registration remains valid until the end of November 2019.

Tercon Ltd is pleased to announce that it has renewed its membership with Altius for another twelve months.
The company now retains its association with Altius until November 2019.

During April, Tercon Ltd re-applied and retained its rated supplier status on the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Sustainability Index.

Tercon Ltd to raise funds for the 1625 Independent People charity
Tercon Ltd is very pleased to announce its involvement in supporting the 1625 Independent People charity over the next twelve months.
1625 Independent People has been supporting 16-25 year olds in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath and North-East Somerset who are either homeless or at risk of being, for over 35 years.
Their services range from preventing homelessness through advice, education and skills work, through to intensive one-to-one support for up to two years.
The main causes of youth homelessness are family breakdown and the lack of affordable and safe housing in Bristol for young people.
Many of the young people 1625ip support have experienced significant trauma, disrupted education and as children, they lacked consistent, positive relationships with parents or carers.
1625ip support around 2000 young people each year in the South West of England.
There has been a 34% rise in the number of referrals to their services last year compared with the previous year highlightingthe need for sustainable, local services to ensure young people can access the support they need and when they need it the most.
Young people who are homeless or at risk of being have very specific and varying needs and the specialist support workers play an essential role in supporting young people to live a more independent life, with the vital day-to-day life skills, knowledge and support including:
- Developing healthy and trusting relationships with their families, peers and in the community.
- Providing support with young people’s emotional and mental health.
- Providing budgeting advice and support to help young people in areas such as debt, bank accounts, savings, mobile phone contracts, benefits and more.
- Providing support and advice so young people can access and sustain education, training and employment.
- Linking young people to other services, supporting young people to access other services they need, including specialist health and advice services.

Tercon Ltd is pleased to announce that the company passed an external audit for it's ISO9001:2015 system during December 2017.
Tercon Ltd completes largest single concrete pour in Bristol
Tercon Ltd has completed what is believed to be the largest single concrete pour in Bristol.
Working with main contractor Galliford Try at the new Airbus Wing Integration Centre in Filton, Bristol, Tercon Ltd successfully completed the 1,450m3 “Strongfloor” concrete slab to the 2m deep floor in a continuous 24 hour pour to ensure it was free from cold joints.
The ‘Strongfloor’ slab is the first of its type in Europe and one of only four in the world.
This will allow Airbus at Filton to become a world-leading hub for aeroplane wing design and testing.

John Hunter, Managing Director, has recently announced that Tercon Ltd has joined the Civil Engineering Contractors Associateion (South West).
CECA is the representative body for companies engaged in delivering, upgrading and maintaining the UK's infrastructure.
With over 300 members, CECA representsfirms carrying out 70-80% ofall UK civil engineering activity in the key sectors of transport, energy, communications, waste and water.
Joining this prestigious organisation is seen as a main element of the company's expansion plan for its civil engineering and groundworks division in the Bristol and surrounding area.

Tercon Ltd to raise more funds for the Jessie May charity
Tercon Ltd is very pleased to announce its continued involvement in supporting the Jessie May Children’s Hospice at Home charityover the next twelve months.
Last year the company raised £2,477.79 for the charity and will continue its fundraising events during the year in order to achieve its new target figure
Jessica May died at home aged 4½ months surrounded by her family and supported by a team of nurses and her parents created the charity to ensure that every child who is not expected to reach adulthood receives nursing care within the home.
The Bristol based charity provides palliative, end of life and bereavement care for terminally ill children and although the Trust is almost entirely reliant upon voluntary funding, the care is provided free of charge. Since 1996, the charity has supported over 275 children and their families in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset areas.

Tercon Ltd's year long charity fund raising nearly doubles target
During June 20124 Tercon Ltd announced that the company was supporting the Penny Brohn Cancer Care charity for twelve months and had set a fund raising target of £1,500. Thanks to the efforts of staff, family, friends, sponsorship and work related donations, from the 1st July 2014 until the 30th June 2015, the sum of £2,942.69 has been raised.The money was raised by various means including sweepstakes, a cycle run, collections, a hamper draw, a quiz night, an easter egg raffle, bake a cake day and fund raising for the year finished at the Bristol 10K run event. A huge thanks to all those who gave up their time to take part, to all those who contributed to the overall fund and to Pina Hunter who co-ordinate all the events throughout the year.
